Do u think men who never had a father, over compensate with their kids?

It seems to me that I meet guys that never had fathers, they treat their like there kids are their whole life. Guys who had parents tend to be less into their kids or less strict. Fatherless fathers seem overprotective. Idk maybe its just me. I had a father and I am not in hurry to be a father nor, do I think being a father is such a great task.
