Sims3 computer game adult hood problem?

Im having problem with a mood he got that takes like 25 days to end. I dont know how to get rid of it, its called mildlife crisis and i think it wont decrease the days because I took the ege frreeze potion, Is there any ways I can get rid of the mood without eating a birthday cake? I dont want to eat the brthday cake because it would make me into an old man ='(
